Cable Network Nightmare - fiber optic loss

The phone rang at 7:00 on a Monday. We need to raise now! Three floors of the hospital network was down. I did not know the time, but a 12 strand pre-existing single-mode fiber optic cable pulling crew was ruined. This team has a new 12 strand armored fiber was installed. There was a ladder in the middle of a run of people. The boy appeared to be tugging on the floor, armored cable.

The new fiber was a bundle of fibers being pulled over the rest. As he was tugging his place on the floor of the new cable was pulling it down to activate the bundle. He was really burning up the existing cable on the outer coat. Possibly all of the cables had not bundled in the center of the armored might it have made an exception. New armored cable burned through it very easily.

This is a NYC hospital disrupted within a region of the 3 floors. We called for emergency repairs. We were able to quickly patch the night. A few days later we held a permanent solution. We did not know where to start troubleshooting when we issue. We knew only that the first group in a data center was installing cable at night.

We fibers within the fiber head of a data center shot a laser beam light. Once we looked around we saw some light in the ceiling. As a bunch of us through the wall where the fiber is basically a tree-like X-MAS was red was enlightened about checking through the opening. We were singled out for this space problem.
