What we learned in the NCAA this season

2011 University of Connecticut men's basketball has won the national championship. For the NCAA Championships on behalf of the women seem to be heading, but it's not a typo. Connecticut first time since 2004 on the Cinderella Butler Bulldogs men's side won the tournament. Games in recent history may have been the most boring game, two teams a combined 26% shooting from the floor in the first half. It was the lowest scoring championship game since 1949. The best defense, or just had an off game. I think it was a little bit of both. I also am not trying to take away from Connecticut in his victory, but that was one hell of a boring national championship game. Ratings dropped 16.9% from last year's title game and second straight year Butler Cinderella ended up in the title game. But here the question is about the season to consider:

Now big companies are in fact central Cinderellas? Butler Bulldogs got to the national championship twice in the last two years. They have a 5 seed with an 8 seed this season as there was last season. VCU, colonial conference outside their regional bracket to win this year as a 11 seed to advance to the Final Four. That sounds familiar? You probably have a George Mason School that same thing back in 2006 was about thinking as well as a 11 seed.

We have teams that are "mid-majors" that are further and further on an ongoing basis in the tournament has seen a surplus. Gonzaga and Temple Xavier, Richmond out of the Atlantic with the St. Mary's WCC -10 out sleepers as Cinderella team can be called just now, especially when (12) Richmond Spiders upset was raised almost unanimously (5 ) Vanderbilt in the first round this year. In addition, WCC tournament always seems to produce Gonzaga and St. Mary's teams. Last year, Saint Mary's Gaels then produced a preliminary issue, (2) in the second round of the tournament Villanova Wildcats, while Gonzaga St. John's Red Storm "pre-animal" coached by Steve Lavin hit on. It's two teams from the Mountain West Conference season in the top ten for the majority of elections were, San Diego State and BYU being of course the two teams. Over the years, among other teams like Davidson also made noise in the tournament, even if it was definitely caused by a player. (The example that a player is now the Golden State Warriors for the SG, Stephon Curry in) but I ask you to think about: Butler certainly not a game, making 68 field was off. They are getting a game when they already have a UW-Milwaukee team that had beaten them twice in the regular season face off was not an automatic bid from the Horizon League. Who knows if they would have gotten a large bid or not? Just some thoughts.

Other things we learned this year from the NCAA men's basketball season:

1) a man named Jimmer lead the country in scoring this year's Naismith player can win.

2) a man named Kemba will lead his team to the national title.

3) A large East team won the national championship.

4) The choice of a new class with the most we've ever seen, one may be, Terrence Jones (Kentucky), Brandon Knight (Kentucky) Jared (Ohio State) Sullinger Kyrie Irving (Duke) Harrison Barnes (UNC) and Perry Jones (Baylor) just to name a few.

No. 5) selection committee knows what they are, the Lunardi.

6) The Big 10 is boring.

7) We are more than 68 teams in the NCAA Tournament do not have to.

And best of all .. March Madness can no script.

It is still, and always game for a whole month, overtaking the United States can be.

11 months next year.
